In general there
are 'pot-types' and 'cut-flower types' in the Gerbera jamesonii or
Transvaal Daisy series. The Hortus Group is mainly a grower of the 4" and
6" pot-types. The Gerbera also has three sizes; the standard, mid-size and
mini-size. The flowers form varies from straight colors to colors with
black eyes and spider forms. |

| During the short days of Fall and Winter we
use HID lights to insure the young plants receive the total light required
for healthy growth. Throughout the years, we have developed a very detailed production regime that enables us to produce year-round a uniform plug our customers demand. The plug stage is very important to guarantee the grower a healthy plug that enables a steady and uniform growth.
